Adventures in Nashville!

If you are thinking to yourself that  Nashville isn't in the 423 area code you would be correct. It is in the 615, but my twin sister lives here so we visit often. What a beautiful thing it is when my sister and I and a few of our kids ( we have 8 between us) love to go exploring new areas! This week it is close to a million degrees so we of course wanted to find places inside. I got to googling and we decided to do the Farmer's Market which is most certainly not all indoors so that didn't go well with our air conditioning only plan yet we still added it to the list!

Our first stop was Dealers Choice Antique and Auction. I took several videos which will be saved to Instagram highlights per usual. This is the only picture I got so here it is. Side note we got to chatting with him about the local businesses and they are doing a ton of renovations in Nashville on 8th street where is located. This is great! However this means the price of rent is usually raised. He said the building next to him had to close down and that the rent alone was $10,000 a month!!! Can you imagine! This guy in particular has been in business for 35 years!! If we only go to big chains and stop supporting our small local businesses there is no way they can compete with rising prices and corporations.

Anyway he holds an auction each month for his antiques  at the store which I would love to see one day!! Click on the business name if you are local and want to attend. He has the most spectacular assortment of antiques and rugs I have ever seen! The detail to so many of the wood items was amazing!!

Next we went to Nashville Farmer's Market which is an indoor and outdoor place. They have several food and beverage option to choose from inside. I will say though if you are gluten free like myself the options are not great. They have one gluten free/vegan place to eat, but they were closed today. Outdoor is set up similar to a flea market, but we only saw a few produce vendors. On the other end and still outside is the Gardens of Babylon. If you love plants this is great place to check out! Added bonus the greenhouse type area is great for photos so we pretty much had a photo shoot right there. Here are a few pictures.

We made a some quick stops at Goodwill, Target, McKay's and Michael's. FYI if you love records McKay's IMO has the best prices and options by far! Tabitha Brown's new collection came out at Target so of course we had to check it out and I am in love! They didn't have any of my size left so big bummer, but I will keep checking! I snapped a few pictures along the way that I will post below. What is your favorite thing to do in Nashville? Our kids are old enough now so we finally feel comfortable enough to start exploring this area more and would love to hear about all your favs!
Of course as always you can watch all the videos from the day and see  more pictures saved to my highlights on Instagram at Saturdayadventuresinthe423! Have a fantastic week!
